I work from a picture reference, especially when drawing children, because of the amount of time it takes to get a realistic portrait. If you have a picture that you love, but it just isn't formal enough to hang on the wall, I can help!
The beauty of a hand drawn portrait is the the ability to formalize most pictures by focusing on the faces, minimizing the back ground, and drawing the image in black and white.
